Description
Barcelona quartet formed in 1987.
Unclassifiable and genius in their diversity, they handle classical instruments and technology with the same skill for the benefit of a creativity that seems to have no limits and that lacks stylistic boundaries. Holders of a good number of prizes at a European level in festivals and competitions, they are avant-garde to the core, using an enveloping visual montage that is a fundamental part of the Gringos concept, conceived as a fusion of the visual and the sound until its last consequences. Working in all kinds of idiomatic and musical fields, they swing between ethnic and industrial, jazz and techno and a thousand other textures, advancing towards new horizons, reflecting in their lyrics the social reality of the 20th century and its influence on the individual. .
In 1994, they would record their third and last album, ‘Banzim Banzam’, for Liquid Records.
After the dissolution of the group, all have continued working on music and image in different media (TV, theater, dance, radio or advertising…).
