Boston-based band that existed from 1976 to 1988 that included Jonathan Richman. Different lineup from the first one that existed from 1970 till 1974. Jonathan Richman and his Modern Lovers was considered proto-punk, just like Stooges or New York Dolls, although his style was completely different. Definitely a hugely influential artist. EX/EX
