“In The Fishtank” is an ongoing series from the Dutch music distribution company Konrad, for which selected well-known artists (including Sonic Youth, Tortoise, Motorpsycho) are invited to a session. The results of these often spontaneous meetings are always full of surprises. This time Isis from Los Angeles met Aereograms from Glasgow. Both bands are loved for their love of metal, post-hardcore and their spherical bombast sound. But instead of the expected storm of sound, three tender and almost fragile songs emerged when the two bands met. It’s surprises like this that make this series so appealing.
