Description
Heresy were a cult hardcore punk band which were based in the UK. They are considered to be quite influential not only on hardcore and crust but on the later emergence of grindcore, despite their relatively short existence. There is also somewhat of a thrash influence present as well, which was seen on their more lengthy tracks, and in some cases they would not sound out of place on a SOD record.
Concrete Sox are the thrashier band of the split and as a result have longer, more developed songs with more of a metal influence seen in the guitar solos, riffing and vocal performance. Starting off as a politically charged punk band they eventually added more metal elements to their music, and are often considered to have played an important role in the British hardcore scene.
