Description
Historical document that testifies to the harshness of the 80s that ran wild in the most Catholic and conservative place in Spain (Majorca). These 1986 and 1987 recordings constitute the cornerstone that, together with Cerebros Exprimidos, formed the soundtrack of a generation far removed from big scenes.
Eskoria’s 80s punk drinks from the British second wave with groups like Partisans or One Way System and from the movement in Euskadi of RIP or Eskorbuto, together with the strength that comes from being the first to arrive in your city. The two demos that Metadona is rereleasing today, on a double Lp with a Gatefold cover, shouldn’t go unnoticed by those who identify with the wildest, most urgent and raw punk born in this damn country. Especially if you thought you knew everything about Iberian Punk, you will be surprised by the honesty of some punks who, despite living too fast, had the opportunity to leave us their testimony. Eskoria and the sharp stories that his songs tell were (and are) a reality like a fist, as much as some in this dump called Mallorca pretend to ignore. NM/NM/EX
