Description

This album released by the California based Nuvolascura knows what it is and does little to hide the fact. It is surely energetic, aggressive, and emotional as any screamo album should be. The vocals are violent and raw, but also sound like some sort of spiritual healing is taking place as the vocalist parses through their life via reflection and meditation.

The lyrics are often indirect and focus on the emotional aspect of the situations described (or, as much as the situation can be surmised based on contextual clues within the lyrics). The lyrics feel personal but still fitting of the genre as they blend perfectly with the vocal style and instrumentation.

Instrumentation showcases the intensity and aggression of hardcore punk combined with the melodic and often gentle, sweeping emotions of emo. Furthermore, almost every song manages to undergo a handful of changes in both tempo and rhythm, offering a complex yet satisfying listening experience.
