Description

The band was founded in 1980 by the former members of the Hamburg punk group Coroners – Zimmermann, Buschkuhl and Hertwig and the Heidelberg bassist Keller. The Coroners had previously come up with songs like Berlin, I Don’t Know and Ihr Kinderleinkommet on the legendary ZICKZACK compilation ‘Noises for the 80s’. On the 80’s cassette compilation ‘Krawall 2000’ for the FLYING PIG label they were also represented with one song alongside Razors, Hans-A-Plast and Buttocks.

In 1980, Front released their debut single Alternative / City West on Alfred Hilsberg’s ZICKZACK label, which featured a strummed punk/funk guitar and “showed what the post-pogo world could be like: funky or dubby or even both. In mid-1981 Front broke up. Comes with the original insert. NM/EX
