Description

Excel is a now-defunct punk/metal fusion band from Venice, California. The band never achieved commercial success during their years of performing and recording, but they are considered to be one of the first crossover thrash bands to come out of Venice, along with their hometown heroes Suicidal Tendencies.
They started in 1983 under the name Chaotic Noise and in 1985 they changed their name to Excel.
Excel/Shrine is a punk rock and Crossover thrash 7″ released by Malicious Vinyl. The track “Unenslaved”, performed by Excel, was later included in the single Excel and the album Seeking Refuge, and “Sadistic Love”, performed by Shrine, in the album Psycha. Malicious produced a music video for the two songs for both bands.
The record is hard to find and sought by bands’ fans.
