Description

American noise rock/post punk band founded in 2000 in Brooklyn, New York. After the percussion-oriented ‘Drums’ album, which showed an attitude of denial, the band, who moved from New York to Berlin, dedicated their 4th album to a more extroverted approach, which you can also mistake for a certain catchiness if you want to, but don’t have to , although the accumulation of songs oriented to common song structures is higher than ever. The mood is dark, evil, cellar-like. Of course, the Liars are also operating around noise rock here, with a wide variety of results, sonic New York guitars often meet Jesus & Mary Chain flair, you dive into the deepest alleys of the 80s and the old new buildings also swing to some extent, of course with me again and again. Surprisingly, they rarely need more than 4 minutes for their individual excursions, which some will perhaps see as underwhelming, but gives the disc a certain grip in the sea of ordered noise and you can actually sing along to some of the songs.

Still in opened shrinkwrap. With the original innersleeve. EX/NM
