Description

Venice 1982, from the ashes of the unstable and ramshackle group Vixinex, Plastic Flowers was born.
The band was formed by Torcy, Karl Diane, Del Frate.
The three crystallize a better defined project, more akin to the new Europeanist electronic sound, avoiding the magmatic punk rock played by their previous group without any technical skill.
It was thanks to the availability of the new Del Frate instrumentation that the PF had a chance to experiment within new musical universes (the studio was equipped with electric pianos and the latest synthesizers, compressors, filters and various delays, drum machines as well as a 4-track reel-to-reel recording system).
The complex activity of cutting and stitching together during the recording sessions, the over-dubbing of multiple vocals and the massive number of keyboards tracks, precluded the group from any live activity.
Due to these actual technical difficulties, the impossibility of performing any concerts, they preferred the studio: a “working desk” without a stage or audience. The trio remained in the shadows.
