Description
Here we have the newest installation in the near constant release of 7”s by Toronto power-pop quartet Marvelous Darlings. I Hate Rock And Roll sticks to the usual pattern of Darlings 7”s, consisting of a title track and a lone B-side that’ll give the A-side a run for its money. The frontman and head honcho Ben Cook (also of Young Governor, Fucked Up, and The Bitters) has remained the sole member to have recorded and played on every Marvelous Darlings release.
As for I Hate Rock And Roll itself, it’s a familiar brand of upbeat, lighthearted pop. “Terminally Ill”, the record’s B-side is the real gem here however. It alone almost made the 10-month delay on this 7” worth it! In all seriousness, this 7” will go down as another great release on Marvelous Darlings part.
Limited edition on BROWN/ORANGE vinyl!
