Two extraordinary German Punk bands share an EP here. PRINZESSIN HALTS MAUL from Saarland were already have a vinyl release on their back. When you listen to their two songs here, you can tell how much they have improved. This is rocking hardcore with German lyrics, heavily influenced by REFUSED. The singing of Measy is very special. Think of, for example, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE or KAPUT KRAUTS. FRONT, on the other hand, play simple punk with late-70s/early-80s feeling. The two FRONT songs”Onanie & Alltag” and “Hamsterrad” are absolute hits. Totally catchy and original. The music of FRONT is perfect as background music for a car ride through the gray and gloomy Ruhrpott in the 80’s. Surely everyone knows these black-and-white films about workers’ settlements, gigantic steel mills and coal mines. Great EP! I couldn’t ask for more.
