Description
Ghostlimb plays really pissed off thrashy Hardcore with some melodic elements. In this split, these fuckers brought more melodic hooks than on their previous full length, but the intensity and speed is still there. Iberia has some chord changes that remind me of latter day Belvedere, which is good. While some may prefer the more aggressive style of their first full length, it’s nice to see them experimenting with their song structuires and melodies to achieve a fuller sound.
These guys remind me of acts like Ex Number Five, End Of A Year, and Nakatomi Plaza. This kinda blurs the line between punk, indie rock, emo, and post hardcore, and while they’re not reinventing the genre, they sound a lot better than most bands related to those styles. I could easily see these guys playing with Lemuria or a band like The Ergs, since they do have a very strong punk foundation. Really catchy, punk infused emo with some more dissonant, post-hardcore riffs and syncopated drumming that could appeal to a broad spectrum of listeners.
Awesome package. ORANGE vinyl!
