Youth is as much of an idea as it is a physical age. And so many times we burn our youth up to only regret it in the throws of middle age. Well before Grade 2 was an idea of a band The Young Ones were the youngest Oi! band banging out noise for the boys. Fast forward over a decade from the bands first release, to today and we find The Young Ones no longer kids but men still kicking out some of the most youthful and energetic Oi! today. The band has aged well because there sound is leaner and tighter then I remember them. The song writing is punchy and the use of the production has shown the band has aged well.

From the thick licks of  guitars “Johnny Wanker” swaggers in like an old friend you have not seen in years as he sets next to you at your favorite watering hole. The band is not short with energy but there is a warmth in this song that only comes from years of execution and a belief in what they are doing.

Crunchy guitars and punchy beats are the back bone of the cheeky “Miss Plum“.  This romp through male adolescent is equal part music mastery and party starting anthem. long after last listen of this track I have the hook of the song stuck in my brain and a smile plastered across my ugly mug. This song is pure good fucking times!!!
Fucking great 4 song album that is all killer no filler. They nailed it four out four.
