Description

Formed in 1979, Maximum Joy was originated by Janine Rainforth (singer) and Tony Wrafter (previously of another Bristol band, Glaxo Babies). Other founding members were Charlie Llewellin (drums, previously of Glaxo Babies), John Waddington (guitar, previously of Pop Group) and Dan Catsis (bass, previously of Pop Group and Glaxo Babies). The band lasted intil 1983. This is their very first 7″, released in 1981 on Y records. Quite in line with their other bands (Pop Group and Glaxo Babies) this band produced quality New Wave/Punk/Alternative that was way ahead of its time. vg+/ex-
